I've been snowboarding since 98 and I have basically ridden the same setup since. I am in the market for a whole new setup. I've been riding a beginners board, a Jobe 165, and last season I rode a Lamar Cruiser 159 which I liked a lot in the park. I like riding the whole mountain though and I want to find something that will work in all conditions. Any ideas on what size board, or even what type I should be riding? I'm 5'11" and roughly 185lbs if that helps at all. One other thing, I have always used amber colored lenses, but on sunny days they kill me. What color lens should I be looking into for those brighter days, or even those slightly overcast ones? Thanks for any help that might be out there. |

prior40, there are so many products out there that you should just go to a store during a trip...demo a few different boards based upon their recommendations and go from there.
As far as goggles go, get a stylie pair that have interchangeable lens and fit your face. (pretty common in pricier goggles). You still get what you pay for though. _________________

prior40, I bought an Avalanche board a couple of years ago because I tried someone else's and I loved the ride and weight - but - I'm with kswiss on trying some demos before purchasing, especially if you don't like to change your gear often.
As for the goggles, I go with mirror/grey all the time because the orange (and yellow) kill me too... I think the salesperson said those were for snow days - I really don't remember - but I like them. _________________ You say psycho like it's a bad thing... |
