Who else here is an old enough fart to remember a time when they seriously would have given their right arm for something this 'cool'

My first board was a Sims Pocket Knife back in '87 or so. I never wanted that fruit suit

I'm diggin those colors.....haven't seen anything like that for a while, I still get a kick out of the guys cruising around in coveralls though! I don't remember a time when an entire snowsuit was cool....even when I was in third grade I hated my snowsuit, all the cool kids had snowpants. Oh, and I'm not much younger than you Erik.

dirtysparks, a snowsuit is cool if you are rolling around in 3 feet of fresh!
Only if it is a good quality one though, not unlike a drysuit it sucks if your seals are no good!
And NO I WOULD NOT ROCK THAT PARTICULAR FRUIT SUIT!

Just go down to the DI or Salvation army and pick one up for $20. Here's me in my old one, unfortunatly it was pretty popular among my friends to borrow and now it is MIA.

If you can pick up those neon suits for $20 do it! Then head up to Whistler where you can sell them for $2,000 each to the Japanese. The louder the better. Guess they would be easier to pick out in an avalanche--provided they ever left the groomed runs--not!

Nope, wasn't me. My kick ass suit has been missing for a few years now, I think I know who has it though. Everybody at Ciseros is drunk and unruly there in the winter, I try to avoid it unless I'm cougar hunting.

Chavez, I'm lucky to have a little fresh powder over the hardpack here! We take a few snowboard trips over the winter to get to the pow. Do you have a link to the suits you speak of?

dirtysparks, Oakley makes one, I'm not sure of the quality though, I've never actually seen/heard of anyone wearing one. But its Oakley, it shouldnt be too horrible.
asked for a link, here it is... I think if you get last years model, it was all white... http://oakley.com/o/o2329a

one of the bar's here has an actual "gaper" night a few times a year. It's pretty fun, everyone gets dressed up in gear like that and makes fun of the actual gapers.

Wow! I wouldn't have worn those suits back in the 80's even if I could have afforded one I do, however, remember wearing striped socks and Trax shoes

Back in the 80's I was wearing acid-washed jeans (levis silver tab), pegged and scotch guarded with my hot pink Bones Brigade t-shirt worn over a white hoodie.

Weren't the 80's such a fashion statement? I do miss my Vision Streetwear hi-tops.
