i was wondering about these two boards because i am getting a new board and i can't demo them. i am between the balance and the subject. how do guys like the boards and how do they ride. and does the subject have good speed. i know it isn't as fast as the balance but is it still on the fast side of wakeboards. _________________ pointless crew is so insane. |

there are tons of reviews on wakebaords and bindings. Just click on boards or bindings near the top. This will give u a list of brands and just go from there. There is a lot of info there _________________ GOT NAUTIQUE? |

I have the 2003 Subjekt and I think its one of the best boards. I was a bit worried about the fin setup, but its great! It's not too loose or to tight in the flats. It edges really fast and the pop off the board sends you pretty high up there. I used to ride the 03 Evolution, but the Subjekt is way, way better. |

I ride an 02' Balance. Love it.
It's fast as hell, consistent pop for a three-stage. Easy to break it free, yet holds a really good edge.
I havn't ridden the subjekt, but I really like my Balance _________________ http://www.wakepics.com/view_single.php?medid=16993 one of few trips i got to make to the lake this year |

Ahhh ok, , if you loved the trip don't forget about the Team board. For a Hyperlite board you might want to look at the TFD model too, probably Hyperlite's fastest model? kinda up in the air between that and the Parks. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

I've ridden all of the above mentioned boards.
I like the subjekt the best. The balance is a close second.
You might want to choose the balance b/c you can use a center fin. I think the subjekt tracks well enough without it. Same goes for the balance.
The Fusion tracks well with a 1" center fin. It tended to break loose right at the top of the wake before I was expecting it. Not a big deal though. My biggest problem was that all the rocker made it feel small. I'm 175lbs and was riding the fusion 139, but it felt smaller than when I rode the Balance 135.
The Team is a good board, but felt like it landed a little harder than the subjekt to me. Plus the graphics are overly simplistic.
All the HL boards were noticably heavier, not to mention more expensive.
Boards I've ridden this year:
Balance 135 & 140
Subjekt 137 & 142
Fusion 139
Team 139
TFD 142
Parks 142 |

There's too many damn board choices these days. You could spend the whole season demoing boards trying to find that perfect ride. I miss the good ol days where the decision was between the flight 69 and the hyperlite BAFF. Nice and simple. |

Wait, HL boards are more expensive? Wait a minute there, Hyperlite pro models range from (getting my prices off buywake.com) 377.99-524.99. Liquid Force pro model boards (unsure if Team is considered a pro model board, but let's put it in there too) 399.99-549.99. Now...which one is more expensive? _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

they subjekt is a pretty dope ass board, as far as speed goes its a little slower than the trip, which is awesome, the board is slow enough to come into the wake and really give you alot of tension on the line and will pop well, and its still pretty fast. on a scale of fastness, 1-10 i would say subjekt is around a 6-7 and the balance being like a 9 trip being an 8. The balance is fast but really digs into the water when you edge to still give you alotta tension and pop. LF id really well on these to boards. i personally like the subjekt more. _________________ "They misunderestimated me."-president bush |

Okay you got me, but if you notice MSRP you'll see that several of the Hyperlite Boards are listed as being more expensive for wood cores and slightly less for foam cores.
I only bother to remeber msrp, b/c prices vary depending on where you look, but Buywake.com is, IMHO, the best place to buy online. |

Yes, MSRP Hyperlite has the most expensive board, but no one buys MSRP =P. Also, the prices on buywake are pretty much the same around the internet, such as wakeside.com, perfski.com, and so on, since they all have to compete. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

Wrong, DockSecret, Liquid force MSRP is more expensive, and the actual price is more expensive. _________________ www.integrity-wake.com

What do you mean wrong. Parks Bonifay DNA boards MSRP at 630 while Liquid Force Ultracore boards MSRP at 600, therefore Hyperlite has the most expensive board on the market [edit, between the two companies], but everyone sells Hyperlite boards (online at least) a lot cheaper than MSRP. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET

| I got the balance because I tried the subject and loved it but wanted the option of using the centre fin when it gets a bit rough. The balance is definatly faster. |

In the alliance gear guide issue it says:
Parks Biolite MSRP: $440
Parks DNA MSRP: $570
Balance foam MSRP: $449.99
Balance Balsa MSRP: $599.99
-So actually liquid force boards are little more spendy. |

Wakeworld.com has the PARKS DNA MSRP at 640, buywake.com has it set at 630. Wakeside.com though has it set at 570...hrmm. Odd for the MSRP to be set differently for each site. _________________ Behind the boat house, I'll show you my DOCK SECRET
