search... its hard to explain in text but here goes anyways. Crouch down like you are going to jump but then only jump up with you back foot so that the tail hits the gorund and makes the pop cracking sound. no suck up your knees and flatten the deck out with your front foot. just work on getting it higher and higher then do it moving and over stuff. |

It helps holding onto something hip high when you are learning just to get the motion down. This way you won't fall down and its easier to ollie high. once you get that then try it moving. |

i think that you should learn while moving, if you dont it is like learning it all over again when you try it with motion added to the equation. _________________ I once saw a fork lift pick up a pallet of forks, it was way too literal for me. |

okay i'm gonna add my two cents...and this goes especially if your just starting...i see a LOT of kids start skateboarding and then stop two weeks later cuz they're pissed that they can't land anything...it took me a solid three months to learn a stationary ollie and even when i got it, they weren't very high...and to do it while rolling was just as slow of a process...i've been skating two years now and i FINALLY got my first 360 flip, so i guess what i'm trying to say is...just keep with it, don't get frustrated, and have fun... |

its all about timing. you have to know when to push down with your backfoot, when to slide up your front foot, when to level out your back foot, and when to push down and land. just keep practicing it, and youll get it really clean. _________________ <CBV>
