I am having some problems getting up and I am not sure if it is me or my boat to be honest. I have read the "problems getting up" thread down the page a bit and did everything the vid said, and even tried some things of my own and have had no luck. The boat that is towing me is a 18ft I/O with 135hp motor. It does dog a bit when you floor it so I am wondering if it stuggles too much to get someone out of the water. It seems like it struggles sometimes to get me up on a knee board. If anyone thinks it is the boat over me is there any advice as to what I can do to fix that problem? By the way, its not like I tried 2 or 3 times and called it quits, I was out there for awhile lol. Thanks in advance for any advice.

you should be able to get up behind 135 hp, you might just have to drag a little further if your boat has a problem gettin planed out _________________ "This suit is really crampin' my hardy boys, and its no mystery" |

| how much do you weigh? me and my buddies are all around 140 and can pop up out behind their 115HP 18 foot quite easily. maybe try a sliding dock start, or take weight out of the boat, pout the people that ahve to be in it, spotter, son/ordaughter, siblings, in the front, its alot easier fort he boat to get going. |

DunDunDun, You should die for suggesting taking weight out... If its not over loaded, you arent serious about riding... A good rule of thumb, meet a nice fat kid who loves the AV aspect and use his in the front of the boat! _________________

The boat has a weight limit of 900, there was nearly 800 in the boat plus it was pulling me and I am around 185. I think I need to relax a bit more. I will get it sooner or later, I was just wondering if it would be alot later due to the boat lol.

Yeah, as the others have said, if you have any people aboard, weight distribution will be very important for initially getting your boat our of the hole. I would suggest one or two of the people to sit in the bow. This should help get the boat up on plane. Also, yes, just relax. Don't muscle it, let the boat do the work.
The key for my wife that helped make it click was letting her butt slide to her ankles before letting the boat pull you UP. _________________ Be an organ donor! My father is alive today because of kind souls that donate life... |

| What is the size of prop? If it is too tall a pitch it won't be near as good at pulling you up. That being said your technique could be the difference too. |

Put a hydrofoil on the boat, shortened the rope (had it at 70) to 50, and got up just fine. I was also alot more relaxed yesterday, so maybe the combination of all of those helped. Thank you everyone for your advice.
