I don't know if anyone is going to be riding much longer, but if you are and you need a 3rd, or 4th I would be more than happy to come along. I'm always willing to pitch in gas money and help with clean up or anything you might need. my e-mail is cavanaug@uiuc.edu

Where's everyone who goes to Clinton at? With the weather we're having it won't be long now. I'll be out as soon as I can this year getting the break in hours out of the way on a new ride.

Sweet MC TOTALL, looks like it just came off the showroom floor.
My only problem now is that I won't be able to stand my truck not matching my boat.

Thanks NAW. I could have gone either way with the graphics, but since it I bought it off the floor the decision was already made for me. It was that or order one and about the best I would have been able to do was a mid May spray date and I couldn't see myself waiting that long. When is yours scheduled to be delivered? The worst part is now I want to get a different truck to mach it. It's always something isn't it?
karkid,
I'm from the Champaign area and usually ride lake Clinton.

Are you gusy planning to ride at all on Sunday april 2nd? I am heading down to st. louis for work that week but could be down in the Clinton area on sunday afternoon if anyone is going out. There is still ice on the lake up here. If so let me know. I have been riding for 9-10 years so I know the deal with getting pulls and will help with gas and cleanup.

I might be out on the lake by then but won't be doing any riding. I'm planning on getting the engine fully broken in before I pull anyone or start filling up the ballast. I don't see that happening and getting the first service done before then.
karkid,
Rick at Extreme told me they sponsor some pretty big events down there over the summer. I'm going to try and make it down there for those.

lowdrag, no biggie thought I would check to see if anyone was going out. If you do by chance get it done by then, let me know and I would love to check out the ride. I really like the wakes on the 21v's. I rode behind a couple down in texas a couple of years ago.
what did you get for ballast in it? I rode the ones that had the gravity games pakages. Those both had great wakes. Nobody around me has supra's. I mainly ride my supersport nautique, a moomba mob-v or a malibu VLX.

I've got the factory 3 bag ballast which I believe is about 1200 pounds. I'll probably stick with that for quite a while. From looking at the wake even without ballast I know that it will already be beyond my skill level for now. No sense putting the extra strain on the boat and motor until I've built myself up to a level where I can use it.

The season officaly(sp) started today....WOOO HOOO!!!
Air temp 53.
water temp 72.
It was alittle windy when we first got out and cloudy but, the wind died down and the water was nice. This was the first day the discharge side of the lake was open and the water was 72.There must have been 20 fishing boats in front of the discharge channel it was a madhouse. In the open area it was great.
Man the X-2 is nice. She ran strong has a great wake and the heater how did I ever get along without it??.If the sun would have come out the day would have been just about perfect.

I made it out by myself Thursday to put some break in hours on the new motor. The lake was rough, whitecaps rolling all over. Big pain loading and unloading by myself with a 20mph crosswind. Then while I'm fighting the wind trying to tie up to the dock so I can get the truck and back the trailer in, my lab takes advantage of me having my hands full. She bolts and decides it's a great day to go for a swim. Not a great day, but I still left with a smile on my face after having the new boat out.

It's all good. I did find a couple of places that were smooth enough to get some break in time without beating the boat to death. I just had to laugh about the whole thing with the dog. She's going to be a great co-pilot. If you've ever been around labs, you know how frustrating they can be when they're young (she's 10 months and 75 pounds). She was great the whole time we were out in the boat.
Sounds like you should be getting yours just in time to start enjoying some nice weather.

Holy SHizz Batman!!
You guys bought my two favorite boats!!
I absolutly love the look of a solid white hull and brushed Alum tower.. so clean.. so classy.. must fight urge.. want to buy new boat.. just.. for.. hull.. color.. arrggh.
Totall. isnt the wake on the X2 just sick! look like you found a really cherry ride, looks absolutly mint in the pics. Does it have the MCX? Ours has the it and I have to almost dare say its overkill, hole shot is insane. I'll bet the fisherman really loved you guys over there in the warm side.
We'll probibly start our Clinton season in the next two weeks
Congrats all the way around on the really exceptional new rides.

Hav'nt talked to you in awhile.
Yes, I got the mcx 350 its a awesome motor lots of power and the finish is cool looking the heads and the top of the motor are powder coated red.
I'm so happy with this boat, with the wake, the heater just all around I can't wait to get out again--this weekend sat or sunday whatever is nicer.
Later TOTALL

Nice to see you back again Kenneth, it's been a while. Thanks for the complement, especially from a guy who has owned 2 pretty sick boats in the last couple of years.
I'm dying to get this thing broken in and have the first service done so I can fill up the ballast. Just from seeing the wake unweighted, I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up hurting myself this summer.

Man, I wish I could make it out Sunday but my wife has already made plans for me to start painting in the house. Speaking of my wife, she's probably not going to be too happy that I just found out there is a proshop that close to home.
Oh, I just checked and the site is actually www.theliquidedge.com
