|
|
I can do 180s hs ts and switch hs. go w2w hs normal and do ollie 180s normal but not switch. I have an extremly well HS normal though and im ready to do a flip of some sort. I do not have a tower so i can't really do a 360 ive tried many times and there just isnt enough air time for me. Anyway i need some kind of trick that looks really cool so i can do it in front of people what is the easiest and how do you do it? I do not like the sound of the tantrum cause im really bad at doing the rope with 1 hand, plus it sounds weird the way your supposed to make it trip you up. |

just when you hit the wake, huck yourself in any type of flip you feel most comfortable with. personally, i think the hs frontflip kind of thing is the easiest. i know thats not what it is called, ssome say its a mexi roll, but i rotate forwards. here is a link to what i mean. is me by the way

sounds like you still need to work on all your basics before you start muscling up to bigger tricks.
get strong on your ts/hs w2w (with and without grabs) and ts/hs fs and bs 180s regular and switch. start trying ollie blind 180s in the flats. work on your ollies in general. really learn everything you know now switch, trust me, it will all help in the long run.
if you really want to do a trick, learn a spin first (360). the easiest one is the ts fs 360. you only need an ant-hill of a wake to be able to do this (you can do an ollie 360 as well). just do a search on this forum and you will find tons of posts about 360's.
i cant stress how important the basics are... alot of people just like to ignore them and then they get frustrated when they cant land something and they dont know why. |

Amy, I don't want to make wakeboarding a study session, i don't want to fill my brain with a bunch of whirlybird mute half bacon twist or whatever the hell other names wakeboarders come up with I just want to be able to do cool stuff when there are people on the boat to impress. |

belmontwake, obsessive wakeboard retard because he wasn't good enough at the traditional american sports, so he decides to do nothing but wakeboard so he can at least appear athletic in front of people who have been wakeboarding only a few times, and call someone who just wants to learn how to flip a poser. HA. |

BelmontWake, Dont say that... Let him do the backrolls and what not when people are watching... Nothing turns a girl on more than a fugly invert with a nice smooth face first landing... _________________

wakeboarder50, chill it was a joke. And I prefer "chose academics, kept sports out of school" over "wasn't good enough at the traditional american sports". But I guess you wouldn't understand that, since learning the the word invert and the difference between a backroll and a tantrum would be too complicated for you. Let's say you land a flip type thing, what would you say when someone (who you would be showing off too) asked you, "what's that called"? Another key thing is that learning the terms in wakeboarding, taking the time to picture them in your head, and understand them will help you progress in the sport. Just doing that will make your time on the water that much valuable. |

get w2w 180s and grabs down ts and hs. it will save you a lot of trouble. then go for a backroll or tantrum.
natxbrotha, what are you, higher education forum edition, no one will learn switch bs 180 before there first invert or first 360. |

The Headless Chicken, haha, more of the Higher Learning Pregression Tree in WBM. Its rediculous to see what they want you to do for some tricks.
Wakeboard50, you dont sound like a wakeboard type if you just want to impress people but if you do, I found (today actually) that the only invert I have been able to rotate more than half way around is a TS Frontroll. |

If you dont have the air time to turn all the way around (360) what makes you think you'll be able to do an invert? Now granted people can do ollie 360's and bel airs (air tantrum) so I doubt its the wakes fault but buddy I know you dont want to learn the names but maybe we dont want to spend the time tryin to decifer what you say to try and help you out you know? Its the least you could do when your asking for advice (know what your asking about) _________________ www.soswakeboard.com
