well im hoping to get some 2005 alphas since theyre at a great price of 169 at buywake... but ive got some questions
1) how long are they normally on sale before theyre sold out. ill probably order them next week.
2)i measured my foot while at a foot locker the other day and its a size 10 but narrower then even the narrowest setting. its about 3.5 inches wide at the platform of my foot. so i was thinking to get a Large-Narrow but i dont want it to be too narrow.
3) how would i break them in? would i put some warm water in the tub, put them on and then leave them on for the day? or would i use like a baseball bat or somthing?
4) tell me what you think about the alphas and if you think that its a good upgrade from these blindside converter bindings......http://wakeworld.com/boots/getboot2.asp?ProductID=1868
thanks! _________________ Wake Forest University |

I ride the alphas... awesome, my foots pretty narrow, but not incredibly narrow and I ride the larges with the toes pulled down a little tighter than they came because there was a cave of space there. I got one toe too tight so I had to put a can in there for a while, but now thay are just beautiful _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

| yeah i also got the alphas and they are pretty sick, you dont really have to do anything to break them in, just ride a couple sets in them is all. they are so comfy to begin with its kind of a waste to do extra to break them in. |

| I got Xls and I am a 12 foot. You dont need to break them in really. They are easy to get on brand new. They are great bindings |

Not trying to steer you away from the alphas or from buy wake as they are indeed great bindings from a good retailer... But if you look hard enough you can find some deals. I got a new pair of LE sphynx bindings for 150 from ebay which happened to be another larger online retailer clearancing their inventory. Just figured id let you know...
If you cant find anything or you dont feel comfortable buying ebay, then the alphas are great bindings. My little brother rides them and cant stop praising them. He also has a size 10 and rides a large binding. _________________ Long Island, NY & Canada Lake, NY (addirondacks)

You could always tell her to read the reseller ratings since they cant really be faked (outside of ebay themselves)

Neither was I until I found them for 150!
In all honesty, buying the alphas for 169 does not put you in bad shape at all. Theyre such a great binding. _________________ Long Island, NY & Canada Lake, NY (addirondacks)

yea i see why your helping me to save a few extra bucks and i have been checking out all kinds of stuff and looking at trader rating and feedback stuff but my mom just doesnt like it at all.
but i would be mad buying alphas for say 130 on ebay and then have them never show up and i cant contact the seller and it all a mess.
ill be fine with buywake, i just hope they can hold on to some larges for the next few days..... _________________ Wake Forest University |
