| i have a little bit of a dilemma. i have always ridden the byerly board. i rode the 05 byerly and found it to be sticky on every landing. came into the wake nice but hangs up on landing. i am 6'1 210lbs. i was wondering if anybody has went from the old byerly to the parks or anything else they liked as much. almost thinking of waiting for the new murray. any other big riders out there that can help point me in right direction. i would rate me as an intermediate rider. two inverts and a 360 |

I would recommend trying the 04-05 Premier. I have ridden every Byerly shape since he has been with Hyperlite, and I am really happy with my Premier 141. It doesn't seem as big as a 141, and the pop is really nice. It is not as fast, but you don't need as much speed because of the vertical pop. I am riding it without the center fin, and it is nice and loose. You might want to try a new Era if you want more speed and less pop.
As for other brands, the GB Harris is the same shape. Hope this helps. |

well as far as hyperlite terms... the board that is similar to the byerly is the parks, real snappy and quick, thats a good board and i also have the premier (below) and it is not only beautiful but it is a gift from the gods _________________ Hyperlite 2005 Premier DNA 141 (props to harf) |

| the Byerly and the Parks are in different worlds. I rode an '02 byerly 137 and then I got on an '03 Substance 141. My first ride on the substance I said to myself, "I can't believe I rode that piece of crap byerly for so long!" And I would tell people that I loved my Byerly. Dude if you get on the substance, you won't notice much change, except that it is waaaaaaay easier to ride. The pop is just as high, but it's way smoother, it's like it floats you, and it's much easier to hit it right. The landings are softer on the byerly though. I'm an intermediate rider, 3's and 4 or 5 inverts. |
