Hey guys...i tried to get up for the first time today, and no luck. I only had a short amount of time so i figured what the hell. I tried to keep the board close like you all said but also tried to pull myself up, and on the third try, i almost had it. Just want to know some other pointers that would be able to help me, and i just cant wait to start reallly riding.

DON'T TRY TO PULL YOURSELF UP!!! Let the boat do it for you. Sit back, relax, and just do it. The less you try the easier it is.

Right on Eric2929 dont pull yourself up just stay crouched and let the boat pull you out of the water.

it takes practide dude, i got up on my 7th try and even then i plowed water a lil bit before i got up. Now, since ive been bording for a long time i can get up in like 2 seconds an dont really hafta think about it while doin so. it just takes time and practice so dont get all discouraged if u dont get up on ur first few tries; keep at it an im sure ull get it in no time. pretty soon itll be second nature and no problem at all.

once again theres a ton of threads an prolly some vids on gettin up if u wanna see it rather then haveing it discribed to u
