How do you weigh your MC Prostar 205 (92-95)? How much weight and where do you put it? How is the wake? |

350 pounder in the back and one 350 pounder in the bow, Plus 5 to 6 people in the boat. Plenty big for me. |

Fat seat in back and 550 in the bow. The wake is knee high with just 1 or 2 people in the boat. |

I have a 1997 prostar 205. Hull is probably similar. I have 550 on each side of the engine and just added another 550 in the front. Wake is great with just driver in boat and boarder on. My friend told me the wake was better then our friends v drive x star. Supposedly our hull is the same as the x star through 2002. _________________ Check out https://www.facebook.com/darcizzleoffshore |

In our '99 205 we put 550 in the trunk and 350 in the bow. It does the trick, but it won't be winning any biggest wake contests. I have a buddy with a 92 and he takes the back seat out and puts 2-550's back there and a couple hundred in the ski locker. It's alright too. |

A '96 and newer Prostar 205 is going to be totally different than a '95 and older Prostar 205 because they have totally different hulls. The '96 and up have the same hulls as the x-star. I have a '93 Prostar 205 and the hull is a lot different than the x-stars. Right now I have 750 lbs. in back and 300 in the front. I am planning on adding 200 more to the front and hopefully 300 more or so in the back. With the 750 in back and 300 in front it throws a nice shaped wake that is pretty firm, but it isn't all that big. I heard it can get close to an x-star with 500 in back, 350 on each side of the engine and 500 in front for a total of 1700 lbs. But doing this takes up all the floor space. |
