I have a vinyl stain that I can not get out. Without using bleach is a way to get the stain out?

Is it mildew or some other stain? Armoral makes a good all purpose cleaner that we use on our cars and boats that works good. It is in a white and blue bottle. If it is mildew, As long as it hasn't been on very long it will come off. If not then it will pretty much be there untill it get reaphulster(sp). I tried everything on the mildew in my boat including bleach and a mixture suggested by nautique that was part ammonia and part peroxide i don't remember the exact ratios but that didn't work either. Finally we had to get it rueaphulstered. If its not mildew these cleaners may work and if it gets most of it off, once it sits in the sun for a while it will sorta bleach off.

I had a blue stain from leaving a lifejacket on the seat. No cleaner would touch it but someone on this board told me to leave it in the sun for awhile and it is now gone! U.V. seems to work wonders.

Try using Fantastic, it should work on most any stain. Mildew will be hard to get off, but if it hasn't set up for to long, then it should come out for the most part. If the mildew has been there to long, or the vinyl quality is not very good(gotten old, etc.) then you will probably need new upholstery

Thanks guys...

Its not mildew, and the sun has not done its job but I will give it another summer before I replace the vinyl.

I will try Fantastic and Armoral.

Try 409 mildew remover if it is mildew, I haven't used it on upolstry, but it worked wonders on my fat sacs & life vests.

I had good luck getting a stain out with "mothers leather stain remover". It is made for cars but we used it on my buddies supra. It worked pretty well I thought...Worth a try for $5 or $6

most of the time just leaving it in the sun will take it right out.

Try using Super Clean. It is a grease remover but also takes dirt and other stuff off the seats. We use it at work on appaulstry and it works every time. It is manufacturered by castorol the same people that make the motor oil. It is a purple colour and comes in a clear container. The only thing you need to watch is that you clean the whole seat or you will have a brighter spot where you did use it, because it works so well.

Hope This Helps,

Draper

Romi. I use Simple Green and the 3-m vinyl cleaner and conditioner but that is me, anthing that is real harsh on vinyl will take the life out of it in no time so if all else fails take it to somebody that knows what the are doing!

I had some stain on my vinyl that wouldn't come off with fantastik. I got some orange cleaner from the mechs at my local dealer and it did the trick. I'll find out what it was and let you know. I don't think you can get the exact brand at the store but maybe a shop at one of your dealers has the same thing.

I was worried that it might do some damage to the vinyl but it worked great. I also used it on my trailer to get some black stuff off.
