Just balls up and do it. It helps if you catch yourself on a day when your not thinking.

Here's what helps me. I visualize the hell out of the move, then when I'm on the water, I trick myself into thinking that I know how to do it. Then, when you cut into it, just picture yourself doing it just like any pro on a video. I've actually learned new moves like that. The best is when you're just feelin it while riding, and you get an urge to do a new move, then just cut in and do it (that's how I learned my switch hs bs 360). Adrenaline and visualization are wonderful things.

If you have a wakeskate on hand, try your invert on the wakeskate and the bord will be left behind. Obviously you will flip and just land in the water. No worries of the bord catching an edge.

The best thing for me is always friends like Matt and Josh to tell me to go do it, and the only thing going through my head is not fear, but to just go do it. But yeah, visualise yourself doing the trick like as much as you can, anytime your bored or something, then go out and just huck it.

Good call on the wakeskate approach. That's how I learned my raley. I've done some whirlybirds off the skate too. Now that I get those around, it's time to try them on the wakeboard soon. And no, the board won't hit you in the head, the wind or water will always grab it and take it behind you, unless you kick it out in front of you or something. Just hold onto the handle so you keep moving forward.

And if you have some paranoia and believing the board will hit you in the head (which it probably won't) just wear a helmet.

Toothpick has the right approach--- if you visualize enough and put your body in the right position to finish the move it should happen with in a few try's. People that are tryn' tricks beyond their ability usually get hurt...take a progressive approach to learning tricks....we all know Wally wants to get right out there and bust a Raley but Wally ain't going to land one if he has no clue what he is doing...

OH, also, NUT UP and bust it! If you think you can land a HS backroll go for it, going upside down ain't no big thing. I landed my first invert after 5 tries, of course it was after 4:20 in the afternoon...

PEACE
