I have a 96 F-150, slant 6, short wheel base. Everything is factory. Im tryin to get a '94 sport nautique, and i wonderin if i will have any issues with bein able to pull this off the ramp?
Ive pulled construction trailers that weigh a ton more than this, so pullin isnt really an issue. Just the ramp worries me. _________________ Impressive Newb! |

That engine has more torque than most small v8's, not a problem _________________ Silver Skurfer |

I pull my 99 xstar with a 4cylinder normally asperated diesel ford transit - 78 hp stick shift.
I have to push with the boat up the ramp as well as the van pulling in first gear slipping the clutch......first class product! _________________ Wakeboarding is so Kool in Ireland! |

the 6 cylinder usually can produce more torque then a v8 thats why 99.9% of all 18wheelers are inline 6cylinders.
My dodge cummins is a 6, It loves any ramp you put in front of it! |

It's not the fact that 6 cyl vs 8cyl....Inline engines produce more torque than the v-style of cyl configuration. It's the reason VW has a Vr6. The cyl banks are only 15 degrees off, so it's closer to an inline so it was nice torque. _________________ Eric |

it has alot to do with the fact that the crank shaft is longer, and heavier, which is why they produce so much more torque. |
