you should be able to, i have a direct drive boat with no factory ballast and i can wakesurf behind it. i run 500lb in the rear, 300 in the front and 300 on the surfside and like 4 people on the surf side _________________ www.entrustclothing.com |

Ok, yes it throws out a great surf wake on the drivers side.weight it down like Entrust Clothing, The wake is not as good on the passenger side due to prop rotation. |

yeah i noticed yesterday on my DD moomba that the wake was way better on the driver side, i was pulling a goofy footed person, my boat likes to take on water though when i weight that side, i don't know why? _________________ www.entrustclothing.com |

84 tique 2001, Folsom? Surfs up! We're dropping in up at Tahoe too! I curious, how do you have your balast set up? I have thought something like Entrust Clothing's setup is what need.
Thanks,
Doug |

tahoe2001,
Nice! I love Tahoe, winter or summer! My setup is similar to Entrust. because our boats are so short and have limited space I don't put any weight in the front, just people in the pass seat or sitting in the gunnel. For weighting down the surf side I use a TUBE SAC (over full, as well as the FAT SAC in the rear). This set I didn't have that many people with me, but I always make sure that my third is sitting in the very back corner of the surf side.
What setup do you use? |
