I am wondering if anyone could give me any advise on Mounting a Pole in my Boat. It's a Maxum 1800 SR3.

The issue I see myself having is because of the loaction of the Fuel Tank and the Under Floor apartment. At the centre of the Boat is the under floor compartment that has a lifting panel for access. It does provide easy access to the Hull but we still want this compartment to be accessable. The pole can't me mounted behind this compartment because the fuel tank goes right up to the compartment.

Has anyone ever had similar issues?

The Maxum Hull is very similar to the Bayliner. (See Attached Floor Plans)

Anyone got any advise how I can get a Pole in?

Thanks

I was looking at Big Air Pylons

http://www.bigairpylons.com/Wakeboard_Pylons.htm

They say you can use the pole without mounting it to the Floor. You just need to have the strap to the Bow and two lines to the read corners of the boat.

Any one else had experience mounting a pole this way.

This could solve the problem of the Fuel Tank??

nickbell, I think you should go with the skylon it is a way better pylon it has better support, but might be a little harder to install. Also you can disassemble the pylon fairly fast and the only thing left would be a small metal plate. The screws or bolts shouldnt be a problem unless your gas tank is literally touching the floor.
