I was wandering if anyone here has put in their own extended platform??

if so and are willing to give advice i have a 2001 horizon 200 four winns

I haven't yet but its on my to-do list. What kinda questions did you have? I'm fiberglassing mine but you could also use teak or maybe some of that plastic lumber stuff if you reinforce it enough.

I believe the theory behind platforms is don't extend the platform further then the depth of your boat. So from the top of the rear end of the boat to the bottom is the maximum length to make the platform. That's how the newer boats are getting away with such large platforms, the overall boat sits deeper in the water which gives you more room to engineer the weight requirements for the platform. Just something to keep in mind when designing and fabricating your platform.
