Last time out riding my hands hurt like a bi#ch and my fingers were yellow (seriosly like glow in the dark).

I'm using a handle that came with a $15 dollar ski rope.

Should I buy a fancy handle or not?

yes it is really worth it.

not only is the handle gonna be better, you need a non stretch rope...at the shop i work at, we just got some new hanlde&rope combos, from liquid force. It's a nice handle with a spectra rope for $100..definately do it if you want to progress in your riding.
