ok well apparently we do have a kiteboarding section. Do to the obvious similarities between kiteboarding and Kitesurfing it has been established that yes, this does belong in the kiteboarding section.
Sincerely

haha!! That isnt even a bad one!!! He wouldnt have enven gotten hurt if he wasnt riding in shallow water. There is some wierd law of physics that when the water gets shallow, your knees become mysteriously attracted to your face. Everytime you come in hot, your knee hits you in the face.
Ill find you some scary ones....

slow DL but worth it.

When you are coming in, you want to come in cautiously and set your kite down as soon as possible when riding in tropical beach areas. As hot sand beaches heat up, they create thermals. this is good because hot air rises and sucks cold air from the water in creating more wind. Bad news for situations like this where you are running doing moonman hops down the beach to the landing area. one of those updrafts might take you for a ride!

If we all follow the FKA guidlines for kitesurfing these accidents would not happen. However like everything else, people know it all.
Talk to the skier or snowboarder who takes a run through through the tress at high speeds and crashes into a tree. Well, let's eff snowboarding.
Basically don't comment on things you know nothing about.
And maybe we shouldn't drive a car, I see accidents due to stupid people all the time.
And a wakeboarder never had his knees crack his face open? Wake up you stanley.

Well, maybe I did not understand him correctly. And if I did, I apologize.
But if I wrote "eff oshensurfer" what would you think?

I'd think "eff you." haha. Nah. I'd just try to figure out why you'd say something like that and give you the benefit of the doubt first.
I believe he meant it like, holy crap! I don't want that to happen to my face by kiting. That's the way I took it anyway.

dont let one idiots poor decisions turn you against kiteboarding.
Just because some idiot on a wakeboard tries to hop a doc and comes up short and rips himself open doesnt mean wakeboarding is incredibly dangerous. Remember, walking is dangerous if you do it on a rope between two skyscrapers with no net.
You can get hurt doing anything if you do it stupidly.

| Last night while watching a friends band play at a skating rink, I was on inline skates, I was going to take picture, I wen't to kneel down, forgetting that I had an extra 4 inches to drop, and that my foot was going to roll out from under me, I went hard on my knee. It SWEELLED up with water, and now I have to stay off it hoping I don't need to get it drained. Therefore, taking a picture is dangerous. Don't do it. Kiteboardign looks awsome, If I lived where I coud do it, I would be WAY into it. Without risk, nothing is fun. More risk, more fun.

you only need wind. Is there no wind there?
Be careful, kiteboarding is one of those things that you do and find you cant live without doing it. Many corporate suits have gone to bartending just to live in a great kiting location.
Like wakeboarding, the risk of kiteboarding rests soley with the individual.

I suppose you're right. We have a big lake down here with wind just about every night. My wife could follow me around in the boat since I don't think I'd be able to make it back to the shore on my own. It's be worth a try. Now which kite to get, the inflatable? *hmmm*

Just sign up for the email notifier on Best Kiteboarding. They are the Dell of kiteboarding. Direct sales means 50% off standard retail prices for standard ripstop (material all kite companies use to build kites) kites. now they do have a new kite coming out using a new high end material that is way better than any other kite out there, but they retail at the same price as the other brands ripstop kites.
Anyway, they blow out inventory if it builds up too much and the announce it on the emails. You can get great deals like $250 a kite instead of $1100 you will pay for the other brands. PM me if you are interested and I can get you in touch with the right people over there to inquire about anything they are looking to blow out.

Thanks.
