I've been trying some tantrums and im making the full rotation easy, but I always seem to loose the handle. I've been landing and riding away but without the handle. When I really try not to let go, I always F up my rotation and I dont make it all the way around. NEED SOME ADVICE ON HOW TO HOLD ON TO THE HANDLE AND STILL MAKE THE ROTATION.

Just keep the rope in tight and if anything it will make you flip faster than without the rope. If you square up with the wake and pop straight up the trick should happen itself. It sounds like you may be throwing it crooked or not fulling letting off your edge. Are you popping the handle mid air or landing? Keep in mind you don't have to take a really hard cut to land this trick, if there is too much tension ease up on the cut.

Do not use duct tape….

This was the first Invert I learned and is the one invert that I always know I will land. I used to be a high jumper in high school and the form is exactly the same. I might be able to help???

It sounds like you are not squaring up to the wake like 360 said. As you square your back to the wake try lifting the handle up above your head just as you throw your weight back. Let the handle lead your rotation. And remember this is not a “tug of war” style trick like a back roll. You want to go straight across the wake… Not across and away from the boat. If your handle arm goes straight back and leads your rotation it should create quite a bit of slack. This will insure that you don’t lose the handle during the trick. Remember, as you land, to pull the handle back down and into your front hip to absorb the boats tug as the slack pulls back out. Hope this helps. If you feel like your doing everything I just explained… please elaborate more on your current technique so I can get a better sense of what your doing wrong.

Lates,

Thanks bro, that helps a lot. I think I wasn't squarin' up enough with the wake.

also make sureyou dont do to much of a progressive edge, start off fast and slow down near the wake, there will be less tension also

I never really thought about that. Thats a great way to describe the motion - just pretend your high jumping with your board on. Good tip - thanks!
