news on the vandall

Ok I've been told the vandall is hangin up his rope, and unstrapping his feet, had to quit riding, apparently he's been twacked out on drugs and is quitting wakeboarding to get his life together? not trying to start a rumor, but does anybody know the truth on this.

hmm You would think wakeboarding would give him somthing to do besides drugs... i would keep wakeboarding..

03Belmont, well i think it's cuz he wants to focus his time on rehab probably, im not sure, this may not even be true...

That sux if its true, hopefully he will be back quick like. Vandall has so much style i like watching him ride.

The Gator team showed up here on Friday and he wasn't on the bus. Just Gator, Murphy, Ricky and some other kid. Not like anyone has been riding in the last few days anyways.

He has stopped riding for a while, I heard it was just because he wasn't totally happy with the industry and and wasn't having fun anymore. He needed a break from it.

I personaly hope this is not true, One because it would suck for this to be a rumor , Rumors like this have a nasty way of sticking with one. And if its not true and alot of people look at this thread and dont stick around to know the fact's it might not be good for Randy.

Question: If you heard somthing like this is it politicaly correct to announce it here. If its true Is it ok to talk about it here in a public fourm?
Or is that his personal life that has nothing to do with wakeboarding and we should respect ones privacy. Most Pro's in other sports have no privacy
and the press go's to town on them if this is true would you expect Wakeboard mag to cover it like Sports Illistrated would

The other kid was Tyler Killingsworth and he is an amazing rider from the San Diego area.

juiced4ever, Tlyer is from Canyon Lake and is a Great rider. Last year
at worlds a couple days before practicing in Fl. he took a fall and hit his head on a log had surgy they put 3 titiam (spelling)plates in his head couldnt ride for 6 or 8 mos
and now hes back just ripping. Way to go Tyler

BoatBeats, I agree with most of what you said, but I also believe thatlogan, did well at stating that this may be a rumor and that he is asking to clarify whether rumor or not

WakeSyco, yah i heard about that. I met tyler like two years ago at a Canyon lake comp. And we have rode together a couple of times since than. I was just stoked to hear that he was all back after that.

You guys act like this has never happened before, Randy has a history of substance abuse problems. We are not always as strong as we think we are. He has come through it before with shinning colors and I hope his does again.
I will say a prayer for him and hope to one day see him ride again.
He IS the best rider out there imo. Randy get well and good luck my friend.

Yeah, For once I agree with belmont...I would pull my life togther and focus on something I loved most in my life to help me...but everyone has differnet ways of dealing with their problems

I heard that his dad cut him off & told him to figure his crap out before doing anything else. I hope he reads this and laughs at us all.

Tyler K is a super cool kid, I rode with him right before he went out to Florida & bust his ass. My good friend was on the boat when he hurt himself, definately not a good scene. He's back rippin and it's good to see.
