"The advantage of the concave wakeskates is that they help keep the board on your feet better on ollies, wake jumps, flip tricks, shuvits, etc. The downside is that the concave boards are more expensive."

^ nice, too true. the concave, i find is easier to ride aswell, becasue its more like a wakeboard which i am used to. i find i can also have my wieght more evenly distributed, i don't ahve to lean back as much and worry about catching the nose...it happened to a firend...it was funny

Concave-bigger ollies, more skateboard like, kick tail which makes shuv its and other flip tricks easier (to most people)

flat-not as good, nose can go under, harder ollies and flip tricks

Flat is not as good? That definatly explains why MANY great skaters ride the K39 and other flat decks. And how does the nose go under? It's not like riding a piece of plywood.. it has rocker, just not a concave.

Now I am not much of a wakeskater, but I have rode both a concave and a flat deck. I personally like the K39 than the few concaves that I have rode. Honestly, it all comes down to how you like the skate to feel. Same thing goes for riding finless etc etc..

The obvious attractions to both concave and flat have been said in the above posts though, i just wanted to make it clear that flat decks aren't always bad.
