my first day all i did was learn to ride, get my balance down and everything. I guess I was a little disadvantaged though because I had never really skateboarded, or snowboarded, so the balance was all new to me.

OH NO! WAKEBOARDING UNLEASHED HAS GOTTENYOU TOO!!! Laughing

I, uhh I dont even think I got up. I have an excuse. I was riding behind a 13 whaler that had no pylon and a freeboard of 6 inches. Also the 40 hp three blade prop wasn't quite enough to pull us out of the water.Even when we got good at getting up it took about 30 ft before we were out f the water.

Seriously....I learned when I was 10 behind an old Supra, but it wasnt my boat, so after that I rode behind one of my current rail boats, a 12 foot long fiberglass runabout with a 30hp yamaha motor on it.

I think the best i have ever seen anybody do on their first day was my friend... first day he went w2w and then landed a 180 w2w... of course he fell every hundred feet, as soon as he landed his 180 cause he no idea how to ride like that.... but thats about it. My first day was very basic... balance, balance, balance.

7 seconds. I made it up for 7 seconds my first day. Pushed water, faceplanted, butt-planted, you name it. No air at all.

Wow...I haven't really come that far... Embarassed Laughing

Well, first time, I had no one who knew what they were doing, wrong equipment, and only tried for like 10 mins, But, the next time, which I consider my first real time, I got up pretty quick...did some carving and tried a w2w but didnt land. I was only up for about a total of 6 mins between 3 runs. But I was stoked as hell. I snowboard too and I think that really made a lot of difference. It was pretty comfortable after I got up. Just gotta learn how to get over those pesky waves. haha Cool

I got up and a couple seconds later fell down... did that a lot before I gave up because the water was ice cold. My next time out I was able to maintain my balance and stay up longer but other then that I did nothing major.

Yeah i would pretty much say got up went about 30ft and fell right on my butt. Next would have to be a faceplant trying to go over the wake. From there it was all about balance. I didnt get air till 3rd day....

I also had no one teaching me -- I learned on some old connelly with sandal bindings...the best thing I did was not to face plant to much...I still haven't progressed too far as I am old --I'm 103-- but i love to ride.

Got the rope, the boat started pulling, and I went from being on my back to being on my face in less than a second. Got the rope again, got up, jammed the nose straight into a roller. Got up, cut in as hard as I could and jammed the nose straight into the face of the wake.

I figured those were enough tricks for me to introduce into my repertoire for the day, so I worked on those for another 45 minutes/45 runs. Laughing
