I just got my pump in and there is only one tube that connects off the pump. Are there suppose to be two or do you put the pump itself in the water to fill the sack??

There's only supposed to be 1. You put the pump in the water to fill and put the pump in the sac to empty.

Hey Ladythump,

Yep...not real convenient, huh....

Pump goes in the river/bay/lake/ocean to fill and then directly onto the sac to empty...I think this causes alotta folks to install permanent ballast systems...

Someday I'll get around to that...you'll find a whole array of info on these but basically there's two kinds - ones with reversable self-priming pumps (made by Jabsco - most expensive, iginition protected and Simer - not ignition protected) and then systems utilizing basically what you have there - an areator pump - these REQUIRE priming and you need two per sac - one to fill and one to drain - they are quieter and the larger ones I think will actually fill quicker - you need to have fairly straight, short hose runs to take full advantage of these pumps - they are cheaper.

If you're planning a ballast system, inquire about hwat others have done on their Brendella, think about where all those components might go, Search this sight for other posts and then plan some more....there are a couple of commercially available "kit" systems, but I'd just design my own...
Wes

I'd love to install a ballast system on the Brendella but that won't happen. I'd rather save my money and get myself into a real wakeboarding boat some day.
Thanks for the info though. I'll be trying it out this weekend!
