I just bought a pylong skylon rack on ebay. I asked the seller if it would fit a 2.5" pole and they told me yes. When it arrived, the rack fits the 3" pole. The seller is trying to tell me to buy some piece of rubber at lowe's and that will get it to fit my 2.5". Anyone ever heard of this? Anything I can do to make this rack fit my pole besides insist on getting my $$ back??

Maybe you could find some spacers similar to the protective sleeves Monster Tower uses on their clamps to fit other size towers.

This company manufacturers the same inserts (Delrin universal inserts)

I had this EXACT same problem with mine. I had a skylon rack (2.5") and a skylon pylon (3.0")

Solution: I went to Menards (Similar to Lowes / Home Depot) and picked up a replacement squeegee for a commercial size squeegee. It was 1/4" thick piece of rubber that went inside my skylon rack and then clamped tightly around the 3 inch pipe.

If you can't find one, let me know and I can ship one out to you. I think it was only like $5.00 or something.

Let me know!

No problem.

Another idea is to go into an Arts / Crafts store where they have a lot of drawing tools. There will be a flexible ruler to draw curves and such, you could probably shave this down to size and bend it around the tube.

A Koozie might work good too!
