I would appreciate some input on these possible Sub and amp brands.
We are planning to install (2) 12" subs in the back storage (1 on each side). Considering the following because it's in the price range.
- Kicker L7 & SX1250.1 amp
- Diamond D6 & ? Amp ?
- ID Max & ? Amp ?
- JL W6 & ? Amp ? JL or Zapco ?
- RE SX & ? Amp ?
Please let me know what you have experience with.
thanks |

Best bet is going with an R.E. XXX/SX1250.1 combo, or any 1000+ watt mono.
R.E. is NVS's equal in the sub market. I like the Kicker SX stuff. It's clear and stays cool. |

If you want it to pound you can't go wrong with a JL W6 or W7 and JL 1000 amp. Also a Fosgate Power Mono amp is a great choice, but if I went with the JL I'd go ahead and get the 1000 amp. |

I appreciate the feedback, are any of your boxes in the rear compartments ? and if so are you happy with the results ? I am not ready to build a box for under the driver side initially. No room in the MB on the observer side either. |

A friend of mine had three 10" JL W6's (old model) in the rear compartment of his super air. He had a Zapco amp going to all three, and it bumped pretty good. A few weeks ago he had a custom box made for two of the Jl's to go behind the drivers seat. he powered them with a samller phoenix gold amp and they bump WAY louder than the 3 subs in the back storage locker. I think a lot of the sounds is muffled from the hatch and compartment. I'd try to get the subs closer to the cabin _________________ One way or another, we'll have to figure how to get the f*%$ck outta here! |

Is (1) Kicker SX 1250.1 amp enough to power (2) S12 L7 (2 or 4 ohm) subs ? |
