I put a new stereo in my boat this weekend but can't get it to work. I took out a two year old stereo that only had a tape deck and replaced it with a JBL stereo with a CD player. The old stereo still had the stickers on the wires identifying what they all were. I did a wire by wire replacement but can't get the new stereo to work. Any suggestions? |

If you're not getting power to the unit, I'd get a test light and make sure that the hot wires are hot when they are supposed to be and your ground wire is good. _________________

Make sure that the memory wire is hooked up to a non switched source, or at least powered when it is in ACCY. Most stereos won't turn on without a hot memory wire. _________________ Silver Skurfer |

do like joedirt said, check power and ground line. Also see if the batteries are charges and tight. Also check the power wire to your ignition, I ran into the same problem on my boat. |
