I've owned an '02 Pro V for a short time now and I am prolly an intermediate rider. I am mostly impressed with the room. It's actually only 21'-4" w/ a 102" beam. They have really done alot to make the boat seem huge. I think 40k is a good price.
The wake in my opinion is good for my level of riding. I just started doing hs backrolls and so I get enough loft to pull those. I have put more weight in it and the wake was huuge!!!! I didnt ride the wake cause at the time I was pressed for time. I filled two 350# sacs in the v-drive lockers and put a 540# sac between the spotter and driver seat. On top of that I had a full 65 gallons of fuel which equates to roughly 540#. It was a wall of water with a huge kick. Prolly need to reprop to run this kinda weight but if you're a pro caliber rider it would be worth it. The stock ballast is only 700#. I've got the 315 hp. merc.
I would highly recommend the Pro-V. But dont take my word for it I would ride in one.

The problem with the pro v is that when you put all that extra weight in it, it

takes half the lake to get up to speed and plain out. That's my expereince when

we rode behind them otherwise their is plently of room and it's good looking

boat....

Were going on our 4th season with the Pro-V. Weve had zero problems with ours. It definetly needs a re-prop to get you on plane faster if you add more than about 1200 lbs with the 350 Mag.

40K seems like a really good deal since thats less than we paid 3 years ago, and the new ones are retailing for around 56K.
