Yup, if you haven't already, work on different grabs, riding switch and switch 180s, 360s, backside 180s. Once you have a good progressive edge down you can start working on inverts (backroll or tantrum)

You just have to pull the rope really hard. When I was practicing my handle passes I just tied my rope to the fence post and then jumped and pulled. You have to jump back and get tension on the rope to simulate the pull of the boat but it helps a lot with the muscle memory.

If you have a trampoline you can try the same thing. It's a pretty helpful tool.

If you learn to ride cuffed or wrapped then you don't need to worry about a handle pass cause you can land without letting go of the lead hand (cuffed) or just not grab on with the trailing hand at all (blind). Learning to BS slide in the cuffed position will help you also with learning the position in between having it in your launch leading hand and having it in your landing leading hand.

Go slow and try sliding into these positions, then try ollie 180s or 1 wake 180 to get the feeling of landing like that (might be a little awkward at first). It will help if you're pulling 180s, and later 5s, to be able to land in other positions other than just lead hand on the rope. You'll ride away from a lot more "mistakes" that way.
