DOOOOOOOD!!!! How much longer am I gonna hafta wait for the Almost video?!?!?! I just saw the sequence in the new Thrasher of Rodney throwing a 3/4 kickflip to primo, half flip to opposite rail primo across 2 funboxes! I'm dying over here!!!!! Looks like both guys managed to compile some phenomenal new footage for this battle, should be less repetitive than the last one.

Those slams look painful, Daewon was gimpy after that first one.

Elevation, if you look at it close, i believe it is a nosebluntslide and not a nose manual, which would make it even more impressive

I just picked this up today, it's absolutely ridiculous. You can't even tell half the stuff that Daewon's doing 'cuz he's doing so many tricks in each line. Rodney's sequence is phenomenal as always. His last lines are all different Primo combinations & there's a buncha new kickflip-underflip combos. His intro includes the handstand fingerflip nosemanual.

Both Daewon & Rodney do some great manual-fliptrick-manual lines.

Depends on what you mean by old footage. A lotta Rodney's footage ended up being sequences in Thrasher or part of his video for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater so you've probably seen a lot of it already, just not in a team video.

On the DVD there is a section that has "Best of" segments for both Daewon & Rodney. If you've seen the Plan B flicks & the other Rodney/Daewon battles you probably won't see anything new.

The thing is, when Opinion released all of the stuff Rodney had done for that was unpublicized. None of the really crazy stuff he had filmed for that video made it into any magazines or anything, just the standard tricks like darkslide & casper variations. So when he opened with a 1-handed handstand fingerflip to rail people went bonkers.

This time we've all been seeing his Primo variations as well as the handstand fingerflip to nosemanual in magazines so a lotta that stuff isn't surprising. It technically is new footage since it hasn't been released in any other video, we've just already seen it in the mags so it seems old.

just got the video. its my first skate video actually. its so crazy. you have to pick it up. Jester, you find any of the bonus footage. i got to the stuff from round one and two but havent anything else. what are the alternate endings? is it worth watching? i need to check out the pirate copy. i know im gonna watch this video over and over and ovaer again.

They must've taken it down. But I think its one of the last tricks in his section. 360 flip nose blunt manual down a steep bank.

Chicken, I haven't found any bonus footage other than the stuff listed under special features.

The alternate endings don't offer any new footage, the order of the final sequences just changes. Either the movie ends with Daewon's or Rodney's part, depending on which you choose.

The pirate copy's kind of a dud, it's just a camcorder recording of the premiere. So on top of it not being steady 'cuz it's in someone's hand the whole time, you can't see half the tricks 'cuz the bottom part of the screen is obscured by peoples' heads.

It's kinda fun to see what sequences & tricks people react to though. The crowd is so amped at the beginning that they cheer for just about everything Haslam does, then they progressively cheer less & less 'til they're almost silent by the end. Truthfully though, Haslam's boardslide to hardflip/360-flip/varial flip outs are pretty worthy, he rips. But neither Daewon nor Rodney garnered as much cheering as I thought they deserved. I don't remember what Daewon got applause for, but Rodney only got props for the nosemanual-360 shuvit manual-3/4 kickflip primo combo. It's funny 'cuz Greg Lutzka got the most applause when his name came up in the intro but then the crowd was silent through his entire section.

Jester, i laughed when i saw the pirate copy but only watched the first couple minutes. ill probably watch it at some point tho. fyi to get to round one and two footage go to the second scene select and highlight the almost logo and press enter. the three d stuff was pretty cool.

wakechick182, no, wait maybe is girl a part of dwindle distribution. i know rodneys designing a new deck for dwindle. im kinda dissapointed. i read somewhere that it was supposed to be 115 minutes and there was secret bonus features. ive looked like crazy and there is only like 40 minutes of footage on there. whatever the riding is sick so i cant complain.

There's definitely footy from Rodney's days with Enjoi, he was s'posed to release a video part with them but he left the team before Enjoi had a chance.

Rodney's definitely not with Girl, nor has he ever been. He started Enjoi with Marc Johnson & then left to start Almost with Daewon, which is where he's at now. He's part-CEO of Dwindle Distribution, which as far as I know has nothing to do with Girl skateboards. Girl's been around for a long time, basically a buncha the guys left Plan B after Ternasky died & started it.
