I've managed to pull a few of these off. Of course I don't get those on film though, right? lol. Here's a pretty typical fall of mine. I think it's due to me not bending at the waist enough. I can land ollie blinds and inside out blinds no problem. Taking it W2W though is just hard for some reason. Oh yeah and I got 3 concussions so far on this blasted trick. (take note of my tiny washy wake.) The true Boston Whaler experience.

| try passing the handle instead of just landing wrapped up, might make the landing a little easier, also work on the landings of one wake bs 180s and it should help |

I want to get it solid with the blind landing though so that I can get my tantrum to blind. _________________ Crownsville Wakeboard Team |

| Try taking it wake to wake instead on into the flats. The landing will be much softer. If I take mine wake to wake it's much more consistant. |

Do it W2W like Jimmy F, mentioned you be in more control.
I just started rocking these this year both ways, passing and landing wrapped. nuthing feels better than landing looking away from the boat. IMO.
Passing is IMO the easier of the two methods of landing. I like the wrapped landing better though and started learning them that way first also.
Two things I see that might help... they did for me anyway...
Don't start the trick until you are at the peak of your jump or almost on the way down. this will force you to stay balanced and in control. WAIT!
Lean over your toes more when you land. Sure the handle will get ripped out of your hand a few times cuz it's not in tight to your a$$ but you can piece it together from there. _________________ PEACE

Yeah, it seems that even if i jump really conservativley I still land out in the flats. I guess thats good in some aspects _________________ Crownsville Wakeboard Team |

The thing I noticed is that in the air, it looks like you're scared of catching your heel edge so you're leaning WAY forward. That affects your center of mass so even if you hold the handle at your butt, it's no longer pulling through your center of mass and rotating you on axis. The effect is more like if you were a really short guy holding the handle up by your head; it pulls the top of you toward the boat so that it becomes impossible to edge away from the boat, on your toes, when you land. When you land, it's a totally different story; at that point, the board is in the water, so you can lean over your toes all you want.
This is exactly why people always say to spin late. The longer you wait to spin, the less time the boat will have to pull you off axis. Of course, if you have absolutely perfect control of the handle and your body position, when you choose to spin will make no difference at all. That takes practice though so I think, at least to start with, you should heed people's advice and wait to spin.
Regarding landing in the flats: just don't cut out as wide. To me, it looks like you're ready to hit the wake when you're only half way there. It might get you more air too though you're doing pretty well with that wake already...props for that. _________________ We are wakeboarders and our culture is advanced beyond all that you can possibly comprehend with one hundred percent of your brain. |

Also, just take a small cut, like 10 feet out. Just relax, you look like this guy --> _________________ www.ten-80.com |

| well im certianly no authority but i believe in evolution. start with the boat around 16-17 mph. learn to get on axis and land solidly then bring up the boat speed gradually. ive recently learned 4 spins this way. falls dont hurt at all. |

Hey, it makes you learn the fundamentals. When you take those behind an X-star it gives you the bigger advantage cause you can edge like a knife. _________________ Crownsville Wakeboard Team |

Yeah on the holiday I took this summer in Greece they had inclusive wakeboarding but the wake mustve been 10 maybe 15 cm high so I had to really work on my technique to get into the flats on that thing! Needless to say when I got home and got back behind the ski-club's X-star is was going huge into the flats, something I couldnt get down at all.
So yeah, maybe sometimes smaller is better. _________________
