Try to not throw your head back till your at the peak of your jump. So keep your head looking the wall infront of you and when your at the peak of the jump bring your knees up to your chest then turn head back. It should speed you rotation and stop you from spinning.

It looks like you got it, just arch backwards as you are lifting up, and wait to spot the landing. Do you have access to a trampoline there?

If you can get a line and tie it off somewhere perpendicular to your jump, then hold on with your lead hand, it may help you to feel where your body is losing the straight-back rotation.

they only let us use the foam pit, because we cant really hurt ourselves too bad in there. im not really in the gymnastics team the coach is just nice enough to let us use it for 45 mins or so on tuesdays and thursdays. hopefully i can get these down doing them comfortably before the gymnastics season ends, and i feel comfortable enough to try them on my snowboard this season

Boarder4Life3780,

Still be careful. Don't be fooled that you can't get hurt in a foam pit. Here's a story about a guy who broke his neck by flipping into a foam pit.

tuesday, didnt have the camera again, but i landed backflips on the spring floor without going into the foam pit, landed a few on the normal floor with an inch thick pad, later that night i tried them on a regular floor but couldnt quite get all the way around, they are straight now, ill post a vid if i get time.
