I just thought I would toss this out there....I just started my dream job selling MB B-52's for MarineMax in Oakland, Ca. I was a little overwhelmed by the "tribal flame" scheme but I think it is growing on me. Once I realized that it does not have stickers, and that all graphics are in the gel-coat, I started to see it a little differently. Did you know you can get the same boat in solid colors? It is the 220v. The point of my post is just to get some real world feed back on the graphics...not a shameless plug for boat sales (although the Nor-Cal show is coming !!) please let me know if you think MB is cutting edge or over the edge in styling

thanks so much for your time !
(p.s. the wakes are huge and fit and finish seems to be first rate)

I have seen a few and must say they look way better with a reverse gel coat. The all red one with white flames looks great. The lighter the interior color the better it looks also. The interior flames look like squid arms.

the interior is really cool, those colors are separate stitched in pieces of vinyl, even the walkthrough cover has the squid flames...the piping is a third color, I sit and stare at a reversed gel medium blue and gray hull....really cool colors in person and like you say, i think reversed is the way to go

I like it. I don't like the black and red piping on the interior though, I think all black would look better. Then again, I can't even match my socks in the morning!

So anyone know how the 2 speed transmission works? That sounds like one of the most innovative ideas to our sport. Does it work? Does it work well? What's up with the details? I would think they would of been really pushing that option as it sounds impressive. Any comments anyone?

The new 2 speed transmission works really well. I got a chance to check one out and it made a noticable difference in how the boat accelerated coming out of the hole (especially with 2100lbs. on board).

The other thing that was pretty cool is docking with it in low gear. The boat is much more responsive with the ballast filled than it was in high gear.

The tranny is controlled via a swith on the throttle knob (looked identical to the TAPS switch). Pull the rider up, and hit the top button to shift into second gear. The gear change is perceptible, but it wasn't really harsh at all.

It's a cool option that I hope the other manufactures will start to offer soon.

Yeah skicrave, I'm with you! This is a great idea and would solve a bunch of problems with weighted performance. I wonder if they can make an automatic version that doesn't require my forgetfull self to hit the button to shift everytime someone falls? That would be really sweet!

An auto version would be nice, but keep in mind, this isn't like a car tranny. You can leave it in either gear if you want to, it will just be really sluggish when accelerating in the high gear, and will turn a lot of rpm's at speed if it's in low gear.

It's pretty fool proof, which is good for people like me!

They only have an exclusive on the 2 speed for a few more months then every manufacturer will have it.

I saw a couple at our boat show. When I saw it in the magazines I didn't really like the colors. But when I saw it in person I thought it looked pretty cool, it was a nice looking boat too.
