does anyone have any tips on doing a hs 7 off the wake. i can do 5's but handle is to far away for the 7?....

i can't do them, i can tell you the large difference between the 5 and the 7 is that they have a longer pause off the wake betwee the drift to off axis and the start of the spining. Just like flat spining at the peak off a double up. This speeds up your rotation even though you are starting it later, also there will be less tension in the rope. The sequnce below is a perfect example. See how he waits till almost the peak to even start spining at all.

You will have to do it off the double-up. Wake to wake just isn't gonna happen unless you have a gigantic wake and ride an 80 foot line. If you do, then go for it, but otherwise, learn your HS 5 off the double up, learn to grab it, and then go for a hs 7 off the double up. The grab will help you out with your timing.

colefooter, i dont have a cam but if you want you can come film me you can.
wakedude83, thanks, ive done the 5's of the dub, but with no grab. the dub is diff b/c of the rope tension.

Pull hard and spin like a mo-fo..... keep passing the handle even if you don't think you are going to make it, pass pass, pass....so the handle is in both hands before you land.. It squares the shoulders up for the hard pull you are going to get when you land.

Yeah...I can't come close to one but from what i've seen in vids you've got to get that initail pull MUCH harder than the 5
