|
|
Everytime I try switch HS jumps, I cut out pretty far then I start to cut in but it feels like my back foot (left now) doesnt want to turn into the wake, I just cant get the board driving towards the wake like I do Regular.
Then I get to the wake and I pop but it feels weird, Maybe Im trying to pop like im regular so Im getting all screwed up and fall or get about 4 inches of air.
Is there any specific thing that yu should remember when doing switch wake jumps? |

| Do it the same way you do a regular jump. Remember what you did when you first learned to get up on a wakeboard? You would carve back and forth until you got good at balencing. Make sure you can do that switch before trying to jump. Everything switch is going to feel wierd until you get used to it. |

ben746, said it.. go back to the basics of the basics.
I force myself to keep the handle real low and it tight.
I come in slow like always but I need to force myself not to pre jump the wake.
I juts have to slow everything down that much more from that side and it all works good. _________________ PEACE

| Get up switch every time and coast around a bit while the boat gets up to speed. That will deffinately help with switch TS and HS |

It is like anything, you have to get used to it. My buddy rides HS all the time. He rides switch just as well as he does regular. As him to ride TS and he is kind of spaztic (getting better with practice).
It helps to just pick a day and just ride switch all day. That really helps. If you can ride regular you can ride switch since you already know the body position and feel. Just need to get used to it. _________________ Reverend Dr. Jay

i agree learn the half cab, because it makes the landing easier if your not comfy riding switch, but your still getting in switch riding
now wait untill you have to learn switch ts, thats always fun |

| I agree with the half cab as well, in fact because I practice it so much I am now more comfortable with this than a regular TS W2W. |

deepcove, I know a guy that rides his whole set that way everything from the TS of the wake is switch except for spins.
You know he's going to pull a TS 3 or 5 cuz it's the only time he approaches the wake TS. Nothing wrong with that in fact it looks real smooth cuz he rides switch like me, GOOD.
I personally like to take tricks back to back. HS 3 to TS 3, HS roll to TS roll etc...
I can not hit the wake switch TS (crazy weird) unless I'm doing an invert and I have not landed any switch inverts yet.... _________________ PEACE
