i have a super 8 concave wakeskate by cassette. i was wonderin if drilling and making it like the 4-trac, would weeken it or mess it up. _________________ slide it or ride it.

i'm no expert but i don't think that putting on a couple fins will dramatically sacrifice the board's strength. i think that u'll need to seel it some way so the water doesn't warp the wood or whatever. also be careful to get those fins on straight. |

I think it would work fine as long as the fins can handle the abuse |

Check out my profile. It's a 3-d cassette drilled, with trip fins. No center fin.
The board has held up fine! |

I know parks modifies his fins on his board. he grinds down the top to make them shorter _________________ B-town crew |

align the holes precisely and seal the holes with a thin layer of epoxy... I had to drill new holes in my cassette to put the new velocity fins that came with my new absolute 03 that I wont use on my board... and yeah be sure to use fins that can tke the abuse of hitting obstacles like the 4-track |

I have a friend that has trip fins on a regular cassette and it works great. I am seriously thinking of doing it to my old one. Don't use it much and I like the way it rides. _________________ "What do you mean you're done for the night...Insomnia doesn't even open until 4.
