I started racing motocross when I was 13 and raced pretty consistent until I graduated HS! I was pretty good racing in Intermediate (one class before expert) 125/250 Class and I got to a point where I just could not get any faster or better in like a year and a half. Kept getting hurt from tired mistakes and when I started college I had no time to ride anymore or money to afford it. So The next summer I didn't ride so much and had a friend who quit racing to start wakeboarding. I tried it with him and was hooked ever since. But I still have to go riding at least once a month! HOw many boarders do we have that still ride???????????????????????

had a suzuki 125 from when i was 10 till about 15 then i sold it to get my car. I just rode it ever once in a while, never seriously. Now i have no use for one, cause anytime i'd ride i could be wakeboarding, which i'd rather do

i also separated my shoulder riding on a night track. The accident defenitely influenced my sale of the bike(mom freaked out). Wakeboarding doesn;t punish the the body in quite the same way motocross can

I raced competetively for the last two summers. i was a front runner in the novice class, but i am getting out of it. wakeboarding is much more fun, and you get hurt alot less. anyone want to buy a 2000 yz125 in really good condition?

Not the big ol' 640 - just the 400 Smile

The whole family rides - my son used to race his KTM LC50 (Mutant Motor Sports) but there's kids are that cheat the ages (he races the 5 to 8 year olds) and theres kids that are 11+ that will lie about their age. Not sure how they feel good, cuz they were able to beat kids half their age?

I race the scrambles near me - Clear Creek & Stonyford (California) have two or three a year - I don't go balls out - just out for a "competitive ride" lol

I sold my kx250 last summer. I have rode dirt bikes since I was 7 and in one summer I have gotten injured more on a wakeboard. Weird...

My wife and I ride. I have a 1990 Cr500 that I'm building a cr500af out of right now. We both have a banshee. Its too hot and dusty to ride them in the summer.

No racing, but I have a 84 CR500, 99 KX250, and my son rides a pw50. Just moved to NC 6 months ago, and since there are no mountains in my area to ride, we bought a boat and started wakeboarding. Now every weekend we are at the lake!

I've raced for 4 years, and so has my little bro.

He got fairly close to going to Lorettas (The most important amateur MX race) last year, before he broke his leg.

That is a pic of him in my sig.

I have been riding for about 6 years now. I love it. I started just riding in the desert, then got it to freestyle and even made my own ramp, and finally got into racing. I was doing well but as someone else mentioned i kinda hit my peak in the intermediate class. After many injuries ive kinda gave up racing. just got done healing up a broken back!!!! My freind just got a mobius this summer and we have been going every weekend and i love it. I missed the adrenaline of hitting a new jump and I get the same feeling when I land a new trick. This is my first real season of boarding and just started landing 360's consistently. when I got my first one it was a amazing feeling!!!! ( especially after two weeks of trying) I love them both but wakeboarding is WAY easier on the body. People think im crazy trying inverts and eating it hard, but its nothing compared to casing a triple!!!!!!!

I've never raced but ride. A lot more lately because the wind has sucked this summer in Nor CAl. CR 480 1982.

AZMXER That nac reminds me of McGrath! Yea dude I hear you exactly! I cased a 90ft tripple about 4 years ago and ruptured my a few discs in my back couldn't stand up for a week or so and also broke my nose. Althouh I don't know what the hell my nose hit, being that my helmet was a perfect fit. Must of hit the handlebars somehow, had a nice ambulance ride though. Anyway I go down hard ass hell wakeboarding and it barely phases me. Where do you live Azmxer? Rolling Eyes Mr. Green Colorful
