Ok im new to skating so if i get something wrong forgive me anyway are 7.75 trucks the right size if ur board is 7.5 or will this cause the wheels to stick out from underneath the board?

The wheels will stick out. Be careful though, some truck companies give hangar measurement (the part of the truck that you grind on) rather than axle width. A 7.5" width board would use 4.75 trucks in that case.
