Think again, why couldn't you, you can wrap any spin with a handle pass.

Regular foot, T/S or H/S 3, vandle in Rt hand, handle in left.

Yea man.. I asked that question a long time ago if it were possible to do frontside wraps. Someone said it would be tooo akward. So I gave up on the idea. Then I saw I think Randy Harris do one in UnderEstimated...I went out last weekend and nailed a Wrapped HS FS 360 the first try, as well as a Wrapped Ollie HS FS 360 first try. The trick is to bring the rope right around your body, farther than you would think. It works.

TS5, you said you can do a TS3.......do the 3, as soon as you get the handle in you leading hand, push as hard as you can to the opposite hip...........it helps whip around the 3 to a 5

It also helps to try and get both hands back on the handle, more strength

Thanks, good advice. So you are landing them consistently or...? I really want to land a 5 by the end of the year but its cutting it close.. And yep, I can land HS FS Wrapped 3s, handle pass HS 3s and TS handle pass 3s. Haven't tried Wrapped Toeside 3s but I cant imagine them being too hard. I landed the Wrapped HS FS 3 on my first try. It wasnt too difficult. So I'm heading out boarding next weekend. I'll give the wrapped TS spins a shot.

just go for the handle pass 5... if you can do a 3 consistantly, the five will be pretty easy

I wrap toeside, frontside 3's. Really fun trick to pull off. The key is a slow cut and good vert. You'll unwind very fast on those.

And for the folks that say don't wrap. I say "Bah, whatever". Learn both. Passing and wrapping both have their merits.

Good advice man... and just let you know, I went out this weekend and tried some Wrapped FS TS 3s and landed 2 of 3. Yeah they are a fun trick and they weren't any harder than I thought they would be. So now I can proceed with the 5. Now that I don't have to concentrate on both the handle pass and the spin, I can focus on the spin and hopefully land a 5 which I've been trying to do forever.

Alright, I'm off to try and land my first 5 this weekend. I think I can do it wrapped. We'll see though. Wish me luck.

Actually I was coming closer this weekend on handle-pass 5s than wrapped 5s. I landed a spin where I landed half way between 360 and 540 and span the rest on the surface, so I dont count that. I also ate shat a few times. Oh, and I came close on a blind 3 as well which I have been trying to do for a while. Kinda scared to do them cause I blew my eardrum a little over a month ago trying.
