no, they are not
shipping got to be so expensive it wasn't making sense, $50 to ship a $20 bar...etc.
there is a place that sells sealed shot bags, don't remember the name though do a search

You can usually buy 25 Lb bags of lead shot at any local skeet and trap (shotgun) club or gun shop.

I love the 25lb lead shot bags. One word of advice though, after a few months the bottom of the cotton bags they come in rots out sending lead pellets all over your boat, learned the hard way and a still finding the damn things I wrapped my in duct tape a bunch of times and am planning to rubber dip them this fall.
Tire shops are great as well as you can get their lead tire weights cheap, actually a case of Bud for a 5 gallon bucket of weights has worked for me a few times

I didn't even have to have the beer, just asked and a local tire shop loaded 300lbs in the back of my truck. A stop at a yard sale and twenty-five cents later I had four backpacks, which I loaded the weight in and placed in the bow. The packs makes an easy in and out, and actually with less than 300lbs I don't consider it much of a risk to trailer that amount of weight.

Here's a pic of the bags we sell. This shows 500 lbs underneath the seat cushions.
I've found a pretty good way to deal with the shipping costs.
We ship to the nearest trucking terminal and the cust. picks up their order from the trucking co. eg. I'm shipping 1000 lbs to NC from here in Canton, MI. the cost is only $140 (20 bags @ 50lbs ea.) only $7/bag to ship, but the cust has to drive 30 min to the terminal and pick them up. The bags are $35 ea.
I'm in the process of getting some dist. for the west coast. If anyone has suggestions on local shops that we should work with please let me know.
Kmoyer - did you sell your boat?

Also check with car racing compaines, stock cars use lead bricks for weighting and those are sometimes cover with a protective coating.
I got some 8 1/2 x 11 lead plates from Lead Foot Wake that work great, but I did a search and I am not sure if they are around anymore either. It was expensive though about $1/lb. I got 500 lbs. delivered to my door with carpet covers for $500.
