| Hi, my dad says I'm not getting so much air on my heelside, I can jump a very long distance and I land in the flats, but in 1out of 3 jumps I can get a lot of air and in the others I can't , could it be cause I'm cutting too hard for my level of riding? i'm using progressive edge standing tall at the wake , not flattening out and sometimes I feel the pop and most of the times don't, at toeside I'm not cutting that hard and I have a huge air, thanks, and sorry for misspelling! |

| hey sounds like your coming along just fine, what you want to do is take the same aproach as your toeside. The common misconception is that speed clears the wake, which is not true. If you correctly use the progressive edge, start 10 feet, coast let the boat initiate your cut, then lean into it, you should not have tremendous speed, but enough. This will let you control the board and stay on edge. In actuality speed will rob your pop, so take it nice and easy like your toeside and youll do fine. |
