Is it possible to export a single frame of video and not have it look like garbage? Even de-interlaced with noise reduction the interlacing is still really heavy.

Im trying to send it to bmp or tiff, 720x480. I know that video can be rendered in a way where theres actually more than one frame in an still, because of interlacing the eye needs to actually see two frames to look like a clear image. Am I making sense? Smile

YES....

1) First find a good frame to capture (garbage in, garbage out...)
2) Open PhotoShop (PS) and import the still frame (.tiff or .bmp)
3) From the PS toolbar select Filter > Video > DeInterlace (see image below)
4) Leave the default values (Odd Fields & Interpolation) checked and then select OK

If you have Premiere you can export a single frame and have it de-interlaced during export.
