I havn't exactly tried it yet, but i wanna do a 180( not surface ) but i can't seem to get much air off of the wake to twist the board around. And usually when i do get A LOT of air, i go crazy and either fall or let go of the rope ( but sometimes land ) . haha so yea if anyone has tips how to get me land a 180, that would be cool. ~Jess

MsWaKe294, use the search button, I bet you would find a ton of info from others that have already asked this question... but the best thing to do is to go switch, then just jump the wake on your heel side and you will just naturally want to switch. It is the easiest way to do a 180.

Good luck

one of the ways i learned how to do my w2w 180 is i also (this may seem stupid but it works) i would tie a short part of the rope to a tree or pole or somethin and just practice like that or even on a trampoline and then it's just muscle memory from there

try inside out 180s. where you cut from the inside of the wake and jump out of it off of the wake, and try them off of there. it helps with learning how to land and position the rope where it doesn't make you fall.

When you do you 180's pop 1st, then think about putting the handle into your back pocket. It's all about handle to hip, if you try to spin by strength/muscle, it won't be consistent. By initiating the handle to your back hip, the trick will effortlessly come around for you. Also, look up at the shore when you land, not the h20.

Pop 1st
handle 2 hip or back pocket
look up when you land
goooooooooooooooooooooooooood luck

Amy,

I hear a lot of people saying look at the shore, is this so your balance dos'nt go forward by looking down?

Yes. Your body tends to follow your head. Just like when you go for a backroll, you just look over your lead shoulder and your body follows.
