|

| Does anybody have an idea what it would cost to reupholster an older ski boat? I have an 89 Ski Centurion and may need to get it reupholstered in the next two years. It isn't too bad now but I am getting a few small tears here and there. |

If all you have is a few small tears - just leave it and deal with it when it gets bad.
It costs about $2,000.00 USD to do an entire boat, around here. I had a few small tears in mine until very recently, when I had the drivers seat and passenger bench redone for 400 out the door. But it didnt become worth it until the holes/rips/tattering got huge and foam was beginning to spill out of the seats. |

A Malibu more than 5 yrs old, can get exact factory skins and colors as original from a retired Malibu interior guy that has all the patterns going way back!
Pricing is very reasonable. I had rear seat and engine egg shell for less than $200 and that includes all the new foam contoured padding. Easy to install yourself or have a shop do it as it is already pre-fit and sewn.
Entire boat could be done for lesss than a grand Easily!

| DiyGuy, if you hear of a Nautique guy like that LET ME KNOW. I've heard they exist but someone paid $600+ just for the backseat. |

Wakebrad,
I know a guy in Arlington who will re-upholster anything you need for $30 per yard labor plus materials. I had him do the stern seat in my Ski Nautique. He charged me $75. He also custom fabricated the cushion for my fat sac box for $80.
The only thing is he is not the speediest guy. It may take 2-3 weeks for him to do it. If you want I can give you his number. Let me know if you want it.

Nauty, that would be awesome. If he could I'd like him to make all the skins for the boat and I can install them. The timeliness is unimportant. If I were going to try to do it myself it'd take over a month.
Send me a PM or email.
Thanks |

Option - If you want to get by for awhile without forking up the cash for reupholster your boat, get a vinyl repair kit, and fix the rips and tears.
I've got an 89 Supra that had a few small tears at the beginning of the summer. They kept getting bigger each time I took the boat out. Used a vinyl repair kit from Autozone and stopped the rips dead in their tracks. Doesn't look perfect, but they're not getting any worse. _________________ "You know what those things can do?
