V-ride is the current VLX. They stripped some of the options to lower the price point. I think $38K out the door. If you are a DIY type person this is a great purchase. Great purchase regardless, but a little customizing can be fun.

Basically what Jr. said.
It's a nationaly priced boat graed towards the price shopper, with a limited number going to the dealers. Everyone only gets a few of them, and the I-Ride.
The V-Ride only has a front MLS bag, no rear tanks. No stainless rubrail, no stainless on the windsheild cap, no one piece windshield, back to the older dash, and older steering wheel. Has the wedge plate, but not wedge complete...the one we have here has a Bolster seat, but I don't know if it's a standard option...and ours has a Illusion tower on it that I believe is an option as well...I'll have to check on that.
jryoung, you got the price almost right.

and how is the wake?
UP here in Canada the Malibu V ride with upgraded engine to 240 horse, perfect pass, heater & shower, tower & bolster seatm, and 550 ballast in front & rear) run about the same price at a tige 20V.(with perfect pass, tower, bolster seat, no ballats)
What boat would you buy??

check out http://www.malibuboats.com for some official specs - but they don't mention all of the available sizes and options for each.
The VLX wake is dreammy.

| I just saw a few at the plant. It is basically the 02-04 vlx with a few features made optional (such as rear ballast and the stainless rubrail). There is a little more carpet and less vinyl (in cubby's by cupholders, etc) but that is it. A really nice boat and a better price. They retail the boat with a tandem trailer at 38,995. I priced one when i was pricing the new vlx and it was right in that range when optioned out, but after testing the new vlx that is the route I am gonna go. I am at work now, but will try to get some pictures up later today.

sorry ment 340 horse
If you have pictures of the V ride that would be awsome. Its just a little hard to narrow down the boats without pictures.
Thanks

Here are a few of the pictures. These are of a boat before they got the decals on. Also, this one had bow rails, which I was told are optional. I have some more pictures, but this shows the boat pretty well. I also have some pics my dealer sent me from malibu's brochure.

| Same vinyl as all the other boats and feels just like the vlx comfort wise. I liked it a lot, but after driving/riding behind the new vlx decided to go that route.

| The new wake is a little larger, and the one i was on had no wedge but it was pretty close to my old vlx when i had it weighed stock+1000 pounds and wedge. I loved it so I am ordering my new one as soon as i choose the options.
