Serious I would like to ride with some of them too. Maybe there should of been a trick list along side of the declaration of status in order to help people decide their level of riding.

Yeah, too much trouble for a simple poll though. So many people are full of bullsh%t on these boards though. I bet maybe 1-2 of those people are actually at a pro riding level. If it didn't go against any bi-laws or whatnot, I totally think that Pat should bust out the list of who said they were pro.

It's the internet people get to be who they want. I remember somebody saying they put 3500 hours on their 03 SAN.

Burky

If you ever come up to the beautiful Northwest we'll hangout and ride on the lake of your choice in Eastern Washington. Hopefully by next summer, I'll be back riding!

Lake Chelan 10 minutes (second in water clarity only to Tahoe, 100 ft). Have to wait until September when the tourists go home. Have a friend with a house next to Lake Chelan State Park (most beautiful place on earth in my opinion.)

Columbia River, out my front door. Glass all day but cold, has not reached 70 F. yet.

Lake Ososyos (sp), 1 hour away (shallow, warm and no milfoil) we can ride from the US to Canada's southern most lake (big, big party)

Lake Billy Clap, 1 hour away, 10 miles long, most days the only boaters you will see are fisherman. Looks like Lake Powell.

We can go for a triatholon of water sports with a former "Pro" in each discipline: Wakeboarding, Air Chairing, Slalom Skiing. Of course they are former "Pro's" so I really don't think they would count in the "Pro" category.

Icap, that sounds like a good deal. My fam has always wanted to hit up the far, far north. I would be really interested in seeing some pro air-chairing too...oh man would that be intense!

jryoung, I know who that is Laughing Sorry to tell ya, but its true. More true than *cough cough*'s double back roll...

Bruky, I wish I had 9+ hours a day to wakeboard, every day of the year. You'd think there wouldn't be that much light on some days Rolling Eyes

This guy is way beyond the 30 Year Old category, he is 75. He's working on a double backroll. Rode with him this summer, he lives in Seattle in the summer, AZ in the winter and spends alot of time at Beebe State Park next to my house.

I lived next to a guy named Rob Bolton for a few months. Anyone heard of him? He told me he was a rider, I didnt even have a boat yet or ever tried to get up on a board. I did see a rack in his place that had about 8 boards on it, half of which were still in the plastic wrapper. I wish he hadnt moved now that I'm into it!

lake chelan is awesome in september though dude! THe water is warm and generally a whole lot smoother at that time. I go to chelan all the time, I went to Wapato for a week this summer. In fact if you check my gallery there is a video of me jumping off one of the 100 foot cliffs in chelan.

Anyway, Chelan and the Columbia are awesome to ride on. I'd probably choose the columbia though, i just like riding on rivers a lot for some reason. The clarity in Chelan is pretty cool though, and it is probably warmer at later months.

ive seen quite a few pros post on here. you also should remember that just because people look at the front page and respond to the poll doesnt mean they post. i wouldnt be surprised if quite a few of those are real.

Why would you get upset about a wakeboarding poll on the internet

Quote:

Who cares, I was on the dock for a INT comp and this dude was talking about landing whirly 5's, in one ear and out the other. Dude could barely jump the wake.

I bet their are alot of "PROs" on this board. They are peeps just like us, but why would you tell everybody? You would be bugged all day, Just read Shane B. in WB mag. He reads these all the time and can't stand all the bashing and BS that happens on these fourms.[/quote]

Glad to hear some guys enjoying my favorite riding spots! Chelan is pure chop after 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. The wakes bounce off the granite and roll back into the lake. That's why we built on the river.

Where is the 100' cliff at? I was going to go boat camping this summer up past 25 mile creek until I f'd up my ankle. Are they up their?

If anyone is comming up to the NW, PM me and I'll see if I can help.

lcap, dude there is about an 85 to 100 foot cliff right by the rocky reach dam, i jumped off the 85 foot part and it was freaking scary. I would have to say other then the fact that Chelan is clear it sucks! Sooo freaking chopping all the time! Lake Entiat is the way to go, if you watch Running on Empty like all the heli shots were taken from there.

FRG, bashing escalades from when one person downs someone elses investement that they paid big $$$ for (this is if you were reffering to the actually boat bashing). You can't have your boat bashed if you got it for free.

NorthwestRider

I thought I knew most of the cliffs in the area: (across from Lake Entiat Estates ~30') and across from the ski course (~50') toward Beebee bridge.

Are they by Lincoln Rock S.P.? East or West Side of River? Above or below the dam?

I'm out for this season but I'll be back next year and I'm always up to an adrenaline rush.

I'll have to pick up a copy of "Running on Empty," because our house is on Lake Entiat--thanks for the tip. It was because of the water quality we built on the river instead of Lake Chelan.

But don't be so quick to dismiss Chelan, their is no place on earth that is more beautiful than the West side of the lake at 5:00 am when the sun comes up over Wapato Point and you and your friends are the only ones on the water for the next three hours.

Burky

Sorry for getting off track, Its all yours.

lcap, NorthwestRider, I'm glad to meet some dudes who ride up there. I spend one or two weeks at Wapato every summer. We should meet up sometime and ride next summer. I've always wanted to meet fellow riders down there.

To get to the cliffs, from wapato point head to the right (towards Stehekin) and cross the lake. The cliffs are probably 2 or 3 miles or so from Wapato Point. So, in a boat, you could be there in about 6-10 minutes.

I got it and got a good laugh. Just didn't have anything else to say so thought it would be a waste to post just like "Haha" or something.

Now that I look at it, that's very hypicritical to say 4 posts after I used a whole post to say "No problem man".

Then if I look at it again, this whole post is a waste in the first place, but at least ya know yet another person appreciates your sense of humor Laughing
