|
|
Looks like I felt the backroll simply wasn't easy for me to do... I rode this morning, altough it was something like 12C, it was perfect glass and was a blast, but I didn't feel really good, I wasn't as relaxed as I normally am... Anyway, I tried 2 backrolls, crashed out of my bindings and got pretty pissed and then diecided to try a tantrum, and damn, I landed on my board I overrotated when I landed and busted my ass tough o_0
I made 2 other attempts, the 2nd one was ridiculous, and the third one got the same problem ,overrotation (heck, I overrotate my tantrums and underrotate my backrolls, talk about irony!)
Here's a picture of the backroll, couldn't get one of the tantrum as the flash card got full before that, oh well...
Guess I'm still hucking it tough, but now I have the right rotation (handle didn't get in the way)
And for the tantrum question, I land on my board, but it slides from under me the second it hits the water... Any tips on that?
I have to get pics of that tantrum next time! It feels GOOD!

It looks like youre releasing off the wake too early... Really wait for the pop to get you up...alot of people have the same problem.

Hey, I'm just wondering if you're planning on getting some sacks for your new boat. The wake looks pretty flat so if you could get a bit more vert on there, it might help you out.
Then again, maybe it's better to just keep at it until you perfect your technique. My guess, however, is that it would be easier to land a few backrolls with the assistance of a large wake, just to get the feel for the rotation and all that, then go back to perfecting your edging/takeoff technique on your own wake.

I wish I could simply get a ride on someone elses boat, but it's not possible at the moment... As I'm broke, I can't buy wakeboard equipment (and snowboard season is coming soon, and I need new equip badly there) so it'll have to wait until next year...
Oh well, the season lasts like 3 months here, maybe I should be happy with that with a equivalent of 9 months of florida riding

You have got to get more height. You're sliding out because your rotation is probably too fast b/c you are so low and need to spin fast to get around. Work on pop off the wake. Start your rotation after you leave the wake. You pic in that other thread shows you starting the lean in the trough of the wake.
The rope being tied to a low point on the boat is probably not helping either.

haha ya that wake is pretty nasty u didn't look that bad on the rotation but i think its more of a boat problem u might have better time trying it on just flat ground cause that wake is not sweet
