Man I can do some sick-ace wakeskate dismount raleys
Here is what helps me consider when I do them.
1. Wear protection for your lower body. Wetsuit shorts, barefoot short - something. Trust me on that.
2. Cut in very agressively. Dont work the wakeskate raley just for the up and down motion, you need to get it dialed so that you can take the real raley out and up as far as is required. And back in. The second half of the raley is clearly the most important part of the move.
3. Don't let go of the rope. Keep that rope in your hand till you hit the water. If you let go of the rope, or even get into the habit of it at all, you'll be very sorry once you try them with the board on.
4. Aim to land on your butt or legs first. Dont try to take the fall lightly by twisting to the side at the end. It won't ready you for the "real thing" properly. |

all you need is BALL to do it
check out the vid on my gallery, it's not a really wide hard cut, but it's a progressive one.
at the top of the wake, let your feet go back,
don't go foward with your upper body _________________ if you don't fall, that's cause you don't try |

| If you try on a board one of the most important things is to bend your knees a lot when you cut and get a ton of pop with your knees otherwise you'll try to throw the raley too fast and it'll rip your board halfway off your feet and sketch you out. |

I'm no pro but Ive been told dont try to throw your feet out too soon. wait like 3/4 of a second after you hit the wake, if you throw your legs out too soon you won't get the proper height...
Thats what ive been told |

NEVER try to 'throw' your feet out, let the wake kick the board back for you, if you actually throw your board back it sometimes ends up with lots of slack in the rope and your screwed from there |

| when your trying them for the first time can you go slower so you dont kill yourself like 18 instead of 22 or do you need to go fast to get the line tight? Also i dont have a pylon or tower so what should I do differently if anything? |

| Put your hips up and back, not so much your feet. I always thought it was my feet I wanted to throw out and I'd always get worked... let the hips out, hang on the handle, look at the tower, pull in and land on your feet. Figured it out second try on a wakeskate - did 3 more practice wakeskate cuts - then took it to the board - didn't bail once - took me 4 tries to stick it. Super easy trick, just gotta commit to it. |
