Well, I just picked up my first ski boat yesterday and got a wake surf board as well, now I have never really seen anyone do this so I am blind, I know to weight the boat to the side you ride and to go about 9mph, but are there any other secrets to this, like how tight a constant turn to make with the boat. I did manage to get one ride of actual surfing withouth the rope that lasted about a wopping 10 seconds but would really like to do more. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

yeah, you're gonna think about putting a lot of weight on the front foot, this way you are pushing the nose down and sliding down the wave. That is how you move forward on the wave, you put more weight on the backfoot to come back a little bit. Experiment with it for awhile until you get the hang of it. Once you get that, work on carving up and down the face. Oh, and it is generally easy to surf frontside, (toes facing the wave). Have fun!
Oh, and out of curiosity, what kind of boat do you have? _________________ The consciousness of self is the greatest hindrance to the proper execution of all physical action.

You do turn on a slight angle. Not too much. Just enough to clean up the wake on your surfing side.

I just got a 24' Tige', I had the ballast still set for wakeboarding so the weight was balanced, I did however get all the passengers on the one side to help, we did have the boat turned slightly as well, just could not seem to stay in the wake enough to keep going without the rope. Probably just need practice! Thanks guys

yea i have an x-star and we fill the center ballast and the ballast on the side we surf and then put all the people on that side also. we dont drive at an angle we drive strait but i guess that depends on the boat.
