i think if you want to go pro in something just sit in your back yard and practice kicking.. probably the easiest way to go |

Kickers don't have it easy anymore since the NFL doesn't let them play around with the footballs before the games like they used to do. Now they can't kick as far or as well. It actually would be harder to make it into the NFL as a kicker anyways since there are very few of them, and only the best have secure jobs.
What do you guys think of McGahee leaving for the NFL this year? I do think he will be drafted, but I think he has a much greater chance of getting drafted high if he goes back to college, he has two years remaining, and proves he is back to the level he once was at. He is declining to accept 2.5 million dollars, from insurance, by leaving for the NFL. |

2nd round is really pushing it. It would be too risky for a team to draft a player that high, have to pay him for a year or more for just rehabbing a knee, and knowing that he may never recover from the injury. If he does recover, he won't be the same player again. The highest I can see him is the fourth round, and even that seems a little high for such a risk. |

What college is UM?
I don't think he will have a chance at being a first round pick ever again. I would just take the insurance cash, go back to school and focus on rehabbing and school. If he goes to the NFL and he doesn't recover, he'll have to get a job, and it would've helped a lot if he had a full college education. |

Wow, somehow I missed that. Dorsey will be one of the top quarterbacks drafted, but I don't what round he will fall into. I can't really think of many college quarterbacks right now, besides Palmer, who will be a top five pick, and Grossman who could be the second quarterback taken I think.
``I said I was going to be the best running back in college, and I think I did that,'' McGahee said. ``And (now) I am going to be the best running back in the NFL.''
Wow, he is confident. Too bad he has absolutely no chance of pulling that off. I just read that he might be picked in the second or third rounds which was really shocking to me, considering the risk involved. Still, any contract he gets will probably have certain goals that have to be met to get most of it's value. |
